This guide explains Arada Bet bet settlement rules for players in Ethiopia, including winning bets, lost bets, void bets, refunds and cancelled events. Settlement depends on the sport, market, official result and applicable Terms and Conditions. The examples below explain common settlement methods; they do not confirm every operator-specific rule. Check the current published terms and your bet ticket before relying on a particular outcome.

What Bet Settlement Means at Arada Bet

Settlement is the calculation of a bet after the relevant result is confirmed. Your bet history should show its status and any amount credited to your account.

  • Won: the selection meets the market’s winning conditions.
  • Lost: the selection does not meet those conditions; the stake is not returned.
  • Void: the bet is cancelled for settlement purposes, normally with the stake returned.
  • Partially void: only part of the stake or selection is cancelled, where the market permits this.
  • Cashout settled: if cash out is available on your market, settlement follows the accepted cash-out amount and applicable terms.

How Winning Bets Are Calculated

Decimal odds show the total return per unit staked, including the original stake. Return and profit are different: profit is what remains after subtracting the stake.

Total return = stake × decimal odds
Net profit = total return − stake

Before settlement, this calculation describes a potential return, not a guaranteed payment. Examples assume ordinary cash stakes, with no applicable deductions or special settlement conditions.

ExampleCalculationOutcome
Winning singleETB 100 × 2.50ETB 250 return; ETB 150 profit
Losing singleETB 100 on an unsuccessful selectionETB 0 return; ETB 100 loss
Void cash singleETB 100 × 1.00ETB 100 returned; no profit

Bonus stakes and free bets may follow separate rules, including whether the stake is included in the return. Check the promotion conditions on the Arada Bet bonus code page.

Single Bets, Accumulators and System Bets

Single bet: one selection determines the outcome. Accumulator or multi bet: all active selections normally need to win; one losing selection usually makes the accumulator lose, unless specific rules provide otherwise.

A void selection in an accumulator is commonly assigned odds of 1.00. It no longer increases the combined odds, but the remaining selections still determine settlement.

Accumulator example: stake ETB 100. Selection A wins at 1.80, selection B is void at 2.00, and selection C wins at 1.50. Final odds become 1.80 × 1.00 × 1.50 = 2.70. The return is ETB 270 and net profit is ETB 170.

System bets contain several combinations, each calculated separately. A void selection may change the effective legs or number of active combinations under the system rules. Check the ticket’s stake allocation rather than applying the full stake to each combination.

What Is a Void Bet?

A void bet is neither a win nor a loss. For a standard cash single, the stake is normally returned; for accumulator calculations, the affected selection typically uses odds of 1.00.

Possible reasons include a cancelled event, an abandoned match not completed within the applicable settlement period, a non-participating player, an obvious pricing error, an incorrectly offered market, a duplicate or technical error, an unconfirmed official result, or a material change in event format.

These circumstances do not automatically void every market. In most cases where a cash bet is declared void, the stake is returned after the market is reviewed.

Refunds and Returned Stakes

A refund returns the stake; it is not a winning payment or an extra bonus. Cash stakes normally return to the main balance. Bonus-funded stakes may return to a bonus balance or receive another treatment under the promotion rules. Disputed settlements may require manual review.

Cancelled, Postponed and Abandoned Events

Cancelled means the event does not take place. Postponed means it is moved to another time. Abandoned means it starts but is not completed. A suspended market is temporarily closed to new bets; suspension alone does not cancel accepted bets.

If an event is postponed, Arada Bet may keep the bet open until it is completed within the official settlement period. If it is not completed within that period, the bet may be voided. Do not assume a fixed deadline: consult the Terms and Conditions and sport-specific rules.

Football Bet Settlement Rules

Standard 90-minute football markets usually cover regular time plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties. Extra time or a penalty shootout counts only when the market explicitly includes it, such as certain qualification markets.

Football example: a match finishes 1–1 after 90 minutes and 2–1 after extra time. A standard 90-minute match-result bet is normally settled on the 1–1 draw, not the later score.

Own goals, VAR decisions and official score corrections may affect settlement. Goalscorer markets can treat own goals differently, while first goalscorer, anytime scorer and other player markets depend on participation requirements.

For an abandoned match, only markets whose outcomes were already definitively determined may remain eligible for settlement, if the rules allow it. Check the market description on Arada Bet football.

Live Bet Settlement and Odds Changes

Live bets use the same basic settlement principles, but prices can change before acceptance. A confirmation delay may apply, and a bet may be rejected if the odds move. Suspended markets cannot accept new bets.

The accepted ticket, not an earlier displayed price, records your wager. Settlement follows the official result or designated data source and the relevant market rules. See Arada Bet live for available markets; live betting does not guarantee better returns.

Keno and Games Settlement

If keno or games are offered, their settlement rules are separate from sports betting. Returns depend on the completed round, the game’s paytable and its technical status. An interrupted round may require review under the game rules; sports cancellation rules should not be applied automatically.

When a Bet May Be Recalculated

A settled bet may require correction if an official result changes, the wrong player, team or event was linked to a market, a data provider corrects an outcome, a technical error affects the displayed result, or market rules were applied incorrectly.

If a settlement error is found, Arada Bet may adjust the result according to its applicable published rules. Check your bet history and balance for any corresponding adjustment.

How to Check Settled Bets in Your Account

  1. Use Arada Bet login to access your account.
  2. Open bet history or transaction history.
  3. Select the settled ticket.
  4. Compare its stake, accepted odds, market, status and return.
  5. Contact support if the calculation or balance appears incorrect.

Menu names may differ between the website and app, if an app is available. Registration alone does not establish which settlement rule applies to a particular market.

Disputes, Corrections and Support

Prepare your bet ID or ticket number, the date and time placed, event name, market name, and a short explanation of the issue. Include a screenshot if available, but never send your password or security codes.

Use Contact Us to request a review and ask which rule determined the outcome. Keep the response and follow the published complaints procedure if the matter remains unresolved. Review times depend on the evidence and any necessary result checks.

Responsible Betting and Legal Notes

Betting involves financial risk. Only adults who meet the applicable legal age requirements may use betting services; consult the Age Restriction Policy. Read the terms before placing bets, because settlement rules can differ by sport, market and promotion.

See License & Regulation for current licensing information. Players should check the current availability and legal status of Arada Bet services in Ethiopia before betting. This guide does not establish licensing or legal eligibility.

FAQ

What does a void bet mean at Arada Bet?

It means the bet is excluded from normal win-or-loss settlement. A standard cash single usually returns the original stake, while a void accumulator selection normally becomes odds of 1.00. Bonus-funded bets can receive different treatment. Check the recorded reason and applicable market rule.

How are winning bets calculated?

For an ordinary cash bet using decimal odds, multiply the stake by the accepted odds to calculate the total return. Subtract the stake to find net profit. The calculation may differ for free bets, partially settled markets or promotions, so use the ticket and relevant conditions.

What happens if one accumulator selection is void?

Usually, that selection is assigned odds of 1.00 and the remaining selections continue. This reduces the potential return compared with the original ticket. It does not protect the accumulator from another selection losing. If every selection is void, the ordinary cash stake is normally returned.

Are extra time and penalties included in football settlement?

Not normally in a standard 90-minute market, which generally includes stoppage time only. Markets such as “to qualify” may include extra time or penalties, depending on their description. Check the precise market name: the final tournament outcome and the 90-minute match result are different betting outcomes.

Why was my bet refunded instead of paid as a win?

The market may have been voided because the event was cancelled, participation requirements were not met, or another published rule applied. A result that appears favourable does not necessarily make the ticket eligible for a winning return. Ask support for the specific reason and rule reference.

Can a settled bet be corrected, and how do I dispute it?

A correction may be permitted when the original settlement used incorrect results, data or market rules. Submit the ticket number, event, market, date and your expected calculation to support. Keep relevant screenshots and correspondence, and request the applicable complaints procedure if the explanation does not resolve your concern.
